Dogwood Spring: Four Weeks of Festivals in the 9 Lakes Region
When the dogwoods are blooming, festival season has begun in the 9 Lakes of East TN.
Each year, we look forward to spring festival season for the variety of events that are offered in the region. Some of these events support art and cultural events. Some celebrate the roots of the season. Many are free.
So, here are four weeks of spring festivals that you won’t want to miss.
- Through Sept: Whitewater rafting on the Pigeon River season booking now for the 2026 season.
- Mar 14-29: Tulip Festival at Oakes Farm– Corryton- stroll through thousands of blooming tulips at the farm.
- Mar 28: Spirit of the Powwow- Dandridge- Native American dance, music, storytelling.
- Mar 28 and Apr 4: Wildflower Hikes River Bluff Trail– Norris- guided walk with a naturalist.
- Apr 2: Brushy Mountain Tours re-opens for the season. Tour this historic, haunted facility.
- Apr 7 through Nov: American Museum of Science Bus Tours- Explore the Manhattan Project History
- Apr 11-12 Spring Garrison Days– Fort Loudoun Historic State Park- Annual event showcasing life on America’s first frontier.
- Apr 18: Grainger’s Green Jubilee– A celebration of spring- plants, food, and free.
- Apr 18-19: Rossini Festival– Knoxville- International street fair with food and live music. Benefit for the Knoxville Opera company.
- Apr 18-Jun 7: Dollywood’s Flower and Food Festival- display of flowers, music, and tasting pass.
- Apr 24-26 Dogwoods Art Festival– Knoxville- Spring celebration of arts and flowers.
- Apr 25- NATS Poker Run– Norris- Annual MTB event to benefit the upkeep of the NATS trails.
- Apr 25: Powell River Regatta– Tazewell- annual kayak race (free to watch)
- Apr 25: Snail Darter Festival– Lenoir City- live music and shrimp boil.
- May 1-2: Clinch River Spring Antique Festival– Clinton. One of the best antique events in the state.
- May 9: Ball Play Ramp Festival– Tellico Plains- Feast on Appalachia’s early spring bounty.
- May 9: British Festival and Queen’s Tea- Rugby- tours, Maypole dance, vendors.
