Grainger County Tomato Festival

July 17-18, 2026

Celebrating one of East Tennessee’s most famous crops, the Grainger County Tomato Festival has been a summertime tradition since 1992. Named by Parade magazine as one of America’s top free festivals, this beloved event showcases not only Grainger County’s world-famous tomatoes, but also its rich agricultural heritage, talented artisans, local authors, musicians, and craftsmen.

Stroll through vendor booths featuring handmade goods, enjoy demonstrations of traditional crafts, explore tractor and engine exhibits.

And don’t miss the crowd favorite—the annual Tomato Wars! Teams battle it out using overripe tomatoes donated by local farmers in one of Tennessee’s messiest and most memorable festival traditions.
